Account & subscription

A page view is counted every time a user is actively engaged with one of your website pages.

Even if the Remindee code is in your website, page views are not counted if your website doesn’t have at least one “active” popup associated.

If you reach your monthly quota, display of your popups will be paused until the next month when your quota of page views will be reset. However, email reminders will continue to be sent.

When your email quota is reached you have no more email credits, so remaining scheduled emails for the current month can not be sent.
We recommend to upgrade for a plan that fits your needs (Pro plans include unlimited emails) before you reach your limit.

Emails* will be sent again when your quota is reset.
* emails scheduled in the future, not unsent emails from previous month.

If you don’t want to lose potential attendees, you can download email addresses of visitors who scheduled a reminder in your “Email” section or automatically send them to you email marketing solution through our Zapier integration. So, you can send emails by yourself through any email marketing platform.

Credits don’t roll over from one month to the next. On your renewal date your account will be filled up to the page views and emails credits amounts that your plan allows.

So if you are on a plan that includes 5,000 page views per month, and you have 1,000 page views credits left in your account when your plan renews, you will start new month with 5,000 page views credits and not 6,000.

Absolutely! You can switch between plans, as well as between monthly and annual billing at any time. If you change your plan in the middle of a billing period, it will be applied at the end of the current period (except when moving from Free plan to Starter or Pro plan, which is immediate).

In case you need to change plan before the end of the current billing period, please contact us.

Remindee cookie duration is 60 days.

Remindee uses cookies for numerous reasons:

• To count conversions when visitors go on your “goal URL” and to limit count to 1 conversion max. per visitor

• To count pages views, visits and popup impressions

• To hide popups to visitors that already created a reminder on your website (when you selected option to not display popup again to them)

• To hide popups to visitors that already reached the maximum of popups displays per visit you allowed

• To hide popups to visitors that already reached the maximum of visits for popup display you allowed

• To hide popups to visitors that haven’t reached the “minimum of page views before display” you set

• In some cases, to be able to display popups based on behavioral triggers

We’re taking the EU General Data Protection Regulations very seriously.

How Remindee helps you achieve GDPR compliance:

1. Any visitor to your site who is presented with a Remindee popup, can only submit their personal information by intentionally taking the action of typing in their information and submitting the form.

2. Remindee popup editor includes a GDPR section, so you can be 100% GDPR compliant. When you check this option (available in every Remindee plan), you can include in your popup:
– a sentence that explains how you plan to use user personal data
– a consent checkbox
– a link to redirect to your Date Storage & Date Processing Policies

3. We store each of your contact’s permission data as soon as they submit their information on your form. This includes the domain they registered for, the timestamp of the moment they opted in to your list, as well as the IP address of the device used at the time of opt-in.

4. If a customer of yours reaches out to you under GDPR guidelines and requests that you delete their information, just send us a message to userdata@remindee.io and we’ll delete their record from your Remindee account and the Remindee database.

This article is not legal advice, and abuse or use of the Remindee platform other than as described herein can still lead to non-compliance with respect to GDPR. We suggest all customers seek legal advice with respect to their obligations as data controllers under the GDPR.

Domains

Add
New sites can be added under the Sites menu.
Click on your current site url in the Remindee header, then click “Add new site” from the drop down menu.

Edit
It’s not possible to edit a domain. But you can add or delete as many domains as you want.
Only domains with active widgets are counted as part of your plan allowance.

Delete
1. Log in to your account
2. Select the domain you want to delete in the Sites menu, in the Remindee header
3. Click on “Site settings > Install Remindee”, in the left side menu
4. Click on the “Delete domain” link at the bottom of the page

That’s it, your domain is deleted!

It’s not possible to edit a domain. But you can add or delete as many domains as you want.
Only domains with “active” popups are counted as part of your plan allowance.

Yes, you can. For every domain associated with your account, you can have as many subdomains as you want. When editing your popup, you just have to specify a subdomain in “Display rules” > “Where to display” section.

Yes, each domain has a unique tracking code.
The tracking code is in the Remindee script that you have to add in your website pages. So, please be sure that the Remindee script that you paste in your website is the one associated with it.

How to find the Remindee script associated with your website
1. Log in to your account
2. Select the domain in the Sites menu, in your Remindee header
3. Click on “Site settings > Install Remindee”, in the left side menu
4. Copy the Remindee script and paste it in your website pages

Remindee is 100% customizable, so it supports any language.

If your website is multilingual and the domain name stays the same but URL modifies, you can take advantage of multiple popups (1 for each language) and customize “Display rules” to make sure the correct language is showing on the parts of your site that you want it to be shown

How to set a popup for a particular language
1.
Click on the “Create new popup” button
2. In the “Content” tab, select your language, so the non-customizable texts will be displayed in this language
3. Edit the customizable fields in the “Content” and “Reminder settings” tabs
4. In the “Display rules” tab, specify the urls where your widget should be displayed
Example 1: If you have URLs like mydomain.com/en for english, mydomain.com/es for spanish… just set “show on url” “beginning with” mydomain.com/es for your spanish widget. You can also blacklist other URLs (“DON’T show on url”) if you want.

Example 2: If you have a subdomain for each language like es.mydomain.com for spanish, then set “show on url” “beginning with” es.mydomain.com for your spanish widget and it will be displayed only on this subdomain.

Not it doesn’t.
Only domains with “active” popups are counted as part of your plan.
So for example, if your plan allows 5 domains, you can have 6 domains saved on your account. But only 5 can have active popups at the same time.

By the way, the page views counter works the same way. Even if the Remindee code is in your website, page views are not counted if your website doesn’t have at least one “active” popup associated.

Email addresses

Yes, you can download email addresses of visitors who subscribed through a popup in your “Email” section, at any time.

If you added a GDPR checkbox in your popups (i.e. opt-in permission to send email newsletters), your export will include a column that tells you if the visitor has given his consent.

Remindee manages all the process from the popup display to the sending of the emails, so you have absolutely no coding to do.
Sending from your own server is not proposed. However, you can set “date & time” as “unknown” in the popup editor, so emails won’t be sent from Remindee. Then, you can set an integration through Zapier to send emails through your own email marketing solution.

Emails

Each popup has its own email template associated. In this way, if you have popups in different languages for the same domain, you can customize your email for each language.

It is worth noting that when you update your email template, all future email sent will be updated -even the ones created before your update that are scheduled in the future-

How to edit an email
1. Log in to your account
2. Click on the “Edit” button associated with the popup you want to update in the Popups board
3. Select the “Email” tab
4. Edit your email template
5. Click on the “Save and close” button at the bottom of the page

That’s it, your email is updated!

Remindee popups and email texts are 100% customizable, so they work with any language.

All emails sent are based on the Remindee’s template. So, using your own html template is not possible.

Integrations

Remindee proposes a Zapier integration. to send your Remindee leads to more than 3,000 web apps.

Yes, Remindee proposes a Zapier integration. to send your Remindee leads to more than 3,000 web apps.

To get started with Remindee on Zapier:

  1. First you will need to connect your Remindee account to use with your Zap. Create a new Zap, find Remindee in the list on Trigger Apps and click to Connect a New Account.
  2.  Next, you’ll be asked to enter your Remindee account email and password.
  3. Click Yes, continue and if your login details are correct your Remindee account will now be successfully connected.
  4. Choose your Remindee trigger event (“New email subscriber” or “New lead”), domain and popup name.
  5. Create a Zap with the app of your choice
  6. That’s it you new email subscribers or leads are now automatically sent to the app you chose 🙂

Newsletter subscribers

Yes, Remindee proposes a Zapier integration. to send your Remindee leads to more than 3,000 web apps.

Newsletter subscribers are associated with your popups. To see your list of new subscribers, you have to download them.

How to download your subscribers
1.
 Log in to your account
2. Select the domain in the Sites menu, placed in the Remindee header
3. Click on “Email” section in the left side menu
4. Click on “download reminder email addresses” button at the bottom of the page
5. Select a period in the calendar and click on “Download”

This will download a CSV file of your subscriber list, which you can import into your email service provider of choice

When your visitors ask for an email reminder through a Remindee popup, they become your subscribers, not Remindee subscribers. Remindee is just a third-party that captures email addresses and send them 1 email reminder, on your behalf.

So, technically these subscribers are yours and you are free to add them in your optin database and send them newsletters.

However, in the EU, you are supposed to explain to users how you plan to use their personal data. If you don’t explain it in your popup, users might think that by asking for an email reminder they will only receive a reminder, nothing else. That’s why we recommend to websites with UE visitors to display GDPR compliant popups, so your subscribers will be fully aware that by asking for a reminder they also accept to receive your newsletter.

Popups

Remindee popups and email texts are 100% customizable, so they work with any language.

– See a preview

Your popups are not being shown on your website:

1. Make sure your Remindee script is installed on your website

2. Do you meet all your popup(s) conditions as a website visitor?
You have set “display rules”, so your popup is not displayed if you don’t meet ALL the rules. So your popup might not appear if you already created a reminder or if you have visited your own website more than the limit you have set.
-> To test your popups like a new visitor, open your navigator in Private mode and go on your website.

3. Are the URL rules associated with your popup correct?
You might have made a spelling mistake or selected “don’t show” instead of “show” or limited the display to one specific page.

4. Is there more than 1 popup associated to a same page URL, with almost the same triggering conditions?
Popup display won’t work if 2 (or more) popups are supposed to be displayed on a same URL at the same time (but it works if one popup is supposed to be displayed on mobile only and the other on desktop, for a same page URL)

5. Are your popups in “ON” status?

6. Is your page views quota exceeded for this month?

If you checked everything and your popups are stills not showing on your website, please contact us.

To set a popup for display on all your pages, you just have to set 1 URL rule
1.
 Log in to your account
2. Create a popup or edit one that already exists
3. Go on the “Display rules” tab
4. Look for the “Where to display” section
5. Create the following URL rule: “Show on url” + “Beginning with” and just type the domain name, like “website.com” (no need to type http, https, www, http://www…)
6. Save

Now your popup will be displayed on every page where the URL begins with “website.com”, which means all your domain pages.

It is worth noting that if you set other “display rules” conditions, your popup will not be displayed if these conditions are not met, even if your URL rules allow your popup to be displayed on the current page visited.

URL targeting allows you to specify what pages of your website you want the popup to appear on.

To set a popup for display on particular page level(s), you just have to set URL rule(s)
1.
 Log in to your account
2. Create a popup or edit one that already exists
3. Go on the “Display rules” tab
4. Look for the “Where to display” section
5. Create the following URL rule: “Show on url” + “Beginning with” and type the page level you want to target
Example 1: If you want to target your product pages and your URLS are like mydomain.com/products/98754546, type the URL “mydomain.com/products”.

Example 2: if you have URLs like mydomain.com/en for english, mydomain.com/es for spanish… just type “mydomain.com/es” if you want to target the visitors that visits your spanish website.
By the way, if you want to target more than one page level, just add additional URL rules
6. Save

Now your popup will be displayed only on the page levels you set.

It is worth noting that if you set other conditions (max of displays per visit, min pages view before display, etc.), your popup will not be displayed if these conditions are not met, even if your URL rules allow your popup to be displayed on the current page visited.

URL targeting allows you to specify what pages of your website you want the popup to appear on or to not appear (blacklist).

To specify the pages you want to include/exclude, you just have to set URL rules
1.
 Log in to your account
2. Create a popup or edit one that already exists
3. Go on the “Display rules” tab
4. Look for the “Where to display” section
5. Set URL rules
> 5.1. To include specific pages or specific page levels

Create the following URL rule:
– “SHOW on url”
– “Beginning with” if you want to target page levels OR “Exactly matching” if you want to target a specific page
– Type the URL of the specific page or the page level you want to target

  > 5.2. To exclude specific pages or specific page levels
  Create the following URL rule:
– “DON’T SHOW on url”
– “Beginning with” if you want to target page levels OR “Exactly matching” if you want to target a specific page
– Type the URL of the specific page or the page level you want to blacklist

URL example 1: If you want to target or blacklist your product pages (page level) and that your URLS are like mydomain.com/products/98754546, type the URL “mydomain.com/products”.
URL example 2: If you want to display on all your website pages and just backlist some specific pages, create a rule where you set “Show on url” + “Beginning with” and your domain name “mywebsite.com” (no need to type http, https, www, http://www…) + create additional rule(s) to blacklist specific pages

6. Save

If you want to target or blacklist many pages or page levels, just add additional URL rules. Now your popup will be displayed on the pages you set only!

It is worth noting that if you set other conditions (max of displays per visit, min pages view before display, etc.), your popup will not be displayed if these conditions are not met, even if your URL rules allow your popup to be displayed on the current page visited.

1. Log in to your account
2. Create a popup or edit one that already exists
3. Go on the “Display rules” tab
4. Look for the sentence “Display on” and select “Desktop” or “Mobile & tablet”
5. Save

Now your popup will be displayed only on the kind of device selected.

You can set a trigger in the “Display rules” tab when you edit a popup.

Remindee offers 4 kinds of triggers
– Show at once
– Show after scrolling 10, 20, 30, 40, 50… 100 % of the page
– Show after 3, 5, 10, 15… 90 seconds
– Exit intent (on desktop only). This popup appears when a visitor moves the mouse from the website towards the address bar

Each trigger might be interesting to use. You have to choose depending on the other display rules you set and the number of widgets you created for a same domain. But we recommend to always set a popup with an “exit intent” trigger, because it’s THE time when your users will be the most interested in a reminder.

It’s really easy to limit the display of a popup to visitors that already saw at least 1, 2, 3… pages
1.
 Log in to your account
2. Create a popup or edit one that already exists
3. Go on the “Display rules” tab
4. Look for the sentence “Minimum page views before display” and select “2” if you want to start display on the second page view
5. Save

Now your popup will be displayed only to visitors who saw at least 2 pages (display on the second page and after).

It really depends on the kind of popup and trigger you set:

– If you create a popup with an “exit intent” trigger, you should set “1” page view minimum because you want to give the opportunity to every visitor leaving your website to ask for a reminder.

– If you create a button popup (little button on the bottom left or right of the page) or an accordion popup, you can put it on every page from the first page view to the last one. This gives the opportunity to your visitor to click on it at any time without bothering him during his visit.

It mostly depends on the kind of popup you set:

– If you create a popup with an “exit intent” trigger, you should set “1” or “2” display maximum per visit. You don’t want to bother your visitor 10 times with your exit popup if he likes to switch a lot from tab to tab.

– If you create a button popup (little button on the bottom left or right of the page), you can set an unlimited number of displays per visit, like “99” times for example. This gives the opportunity to your visitor to click on it at any time without bothering him during his visit.

– If you create a popup overlay that will cover what the visitor is reading (a part of the page of the full screen), you should generally set “1” display per visit. That’s why it’s important to choose the right trigger and/or the right “minimum of pages view” before displaying this popup, to convert a maximum number of visitors.

The goal url registration allows you to know how many visitors went to your success page (signup, payment, etc.) after receiving an email reminder.
You can set a goal url for each of your popups.

How to set it
1. Log in to your account
2. Create a popup or edit one that already exists
3. Select the “Email reminder” tab
4. Look for the “Goal (optional)” section at the bottom of the page and enter your goal url
5. Click on the “Save and close” button

That’s it, your goal url is set!

Remindee tracks each popup individually, which means that you will have data for each popup. So, for a given domain you will be able to see which popup perform the best in the blink of an eye.

But, you can create, edit or delete as many popups as you want without having anything to do on your site. When the Remindee script is implemented in your site, you will not have any other piece of code or tracking to install later.

Remindee branding on popup can be turned off on the “Content” section, at the bottom of the panel, when creating or editing a popup. Unbranded widgets are only available on Pro plans.

Remindee branding on email can be turned off on the “Email reminder” section, at the bottom of the panel, when creating or editing a popup. Unbranded emails are only available on Pro plans.

When the “no branding” option is checked, the “Powered/Sent by Remindee” mention will not be shown anymore.

Yes, you can duplicate a popup for a same domain or any other domain associated to your account.

Yes you can schedule when your popup must start and/or end.

In case you haven’t set a display schedule, popups are automatically deactivated when event date has passed.

By default, popups are set to not be displayed to visitors who have already scheduled a reminder on your website.
So, if you have an active popup associated with your domain and a visitor creates a reminder, the popup won’t be displayed to this visitor in the future (cookie-based).

If you want to check if this feature is active on your popups or if you want to enable/disable it, here’s how to do:
1.
 Log in to your account
2. Create a popup or edit one that already exists
3. Go on the “Display rules” tab
4. Look for the checkbox “Don’t show to visitors who already planned a reminder”. Check or uncheck it depending on what you want (it’s checked by default)
5. Save
